At Guthrie House Care Home in South East Edinburgh, we offer a varied activities programme that brings enjoyment, creativity and companionship into everyday life. From arts and crafts and favourite board games to gentle exercise, themed events and live entertainment, there is always something for residents to look forward to. Our dedicated Activities Coordinator thoughtfully designs a welcoming mix of activities that reflect residents’ interests and abilities, helping everyone stay active, enjoy time with others and make the most of each day.

At Guthrie House Care Home, our team works hard to provide a wide range of sessions for our residents. These include creative outlets such as arts & crafts or music therapy, strategy and board games, gentle exercise and memory-focused sessions.

Of course, we love it when residents’ loved ones join in for activities and they are always welcome. These wellbeing sessions are a wonderful bonding opportunity, encouraging communication and shared laughter.

Everyone is welcomed and encouraged to take part in all our activities here at Guthrie House. All our sessions can be adapted to suit the needs of residents, ensuring everyone feels comfortable and confident. Staff are on hand at all times to help wherever needed, but are careful not to be intrusive and allow residents to stay as independent as possible.

Our activities are included in residents’ weekly fees, allowing them to relax and have fun.
