Celebrating Our First World Culture Day at Guthrie House

We were delighted to take part in our very first World Culture Day at Guthrie House, exploring the rich traditions and vibrant spirit of France. The day was a wonderful opportunity for residents to learn about another country while enjoying cultural traditions and delicious French food.
Exploring France at Guthrie House
The celebration brought a variety of French-themed items and traditions into our home, creating a lively and engaging atmosphere for residents to explore. From the moment the day began, there was a real sense of curiosity and excitement as our residents discovered new things about French culture.

Food played a special part in the day, with residents enjoying delicious French-inspired dishes that added to the overall experience. Sharing a meal together is always a meaningful part of life at Guthrie House, giving everyone the chance to connect with a different culture in a warm and welcoming way.
A Day of Connection and Discovery
World Culture Day offered residents the chance to broaden their horizons and enjoy time together in a fun and inclusive setting all while learning about new traditions. It was lovely to see residents engaging with the different items and sharing stories as they explored what makes France so unique.
At Guthrie House, we value activities that spark interest and create meaningful shared experiences. Our first World Culture Day was a perfect example of this, and we are already looking forward to celebrating more countries in the future.
